MAGNIFICAT – PRIMO STUDIO PER UN MONDO MIGLIORE

Perhaps what artists can do today is to be foolish, foolish with crazy hope, foolish with love. Magnificat is the first word that Mary pronounces meeting Elisabeth. Magnificat embodies her trust and mad hope. It is Parsifal hero of compassion. It is humanity walking forward.

ECHO RESONANCE AND MEMORY

To investigate the possibilities for choreographic and compositional concepts of echo and resonance though a repeated use of the image multiplied to go further and reach a visionary body/movement. The dancing body remains subject of the earth, yet in its  matter it may glimpse as poetic–body.

The solo – part of the triptych Mensch – über Schönheit – is inspired by exhibited beauty, as conceived by Jean Baudrillard in his idea of the contemporary body as machine–body: objectified, plastified, unreachable, untouchable. A public movemen: logical, rational, modular, progressive, symmetrical, material.

A box of aluminum 4x4x2 with only two entrances: one to watch, the other to touch questions the dimensions of dance.
